Richard Fairbank Architect Ltd. first worked for our school division in 1989 when our Catholic School District was formed. From Good Shepherd School, our first project, to our yearly need for portable classrooms, they have shown their talents and ability for prompt and generous accessibility

Our portable classrooms have evolved under Richard and his team to being built on budget, quick to assemble and are interchangeable throughout our system. They have been standardized to connect with the core school's mechanical and electrical systems, including fire protection sprinklers or can be used as stand alone units.

Richard Fairbank and his team have always been professional in their manners, thorough in their duties and conscientious in servicing our needs.

- Jim Yurchevich (Construction Administrator, Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools)

THE STAFF OF RICHARD FAIRBANK ARCHITECT LTD

Richard Fairbank Architect Ltd. has always maintained a minimum core staff of five. Over the 30-year history we had at our peak grown to be 17 strong. It is our experience that the smaller range has been the most profitable and the most enjoyable with direct, personal and accessible participation of the principal. The larger practice demands a different, more impersonal corporate infrastructure.

The company of Richard Fairbank Architect Ltd. ties together a team of architectural experience, state of the art computer technologies, building design, interior design and graphic design. From design concept to contract management phases, the staff of Richard Fairbank Architect Ltd. are able to work closely with stakeholders and be flexible at all stages of the architectural process. Technologists are trained in the latest AutoCAD programs that lend clarity to both final contractual documents as well as sharp and detailed conceptual design work. Competent members well versed in the entire scope of both large and small construction projects carry out the management of the design and construction phases.

Staff of this practice has a positive gender balance, a fact that encourages communication, enhances creativity, and showcases quality control. A female affirmative approach to designs is implemented with their 'Women in Architecture' program because Richard Fairbank Architects is keenly aware of the crucial role women play in today's society. This incorporates the essential feminine point of view in all their building use planning and facility design.

The company retains a longstanding association with Fairbank Architects Ltd. of Nelson B.C. and Fairbank Engineering of Vancouver B.C. Ties to these consulting firms enhance their services with a greater depth of experience and security of personnel.

Curriculum vitas of our key design and technical personnel, as well as support staff, are compiled for each client architectural services proposal.
